Spine Health & Longevity

We offer advanced imaging, a personalized analysis, and prevention strategies. This program is designed for people who want to stay active, pain-free, and surgery-free for decades.

Proactive Spine Longevity

Knowledge is power and being proactive in your spine health is key. We partner with TruePath Imaging to provide our patients a modern diagnostic image of the spine, called Vertebral Motion Analysis, or VMA®. It evaluates how your spine moves under stress, revealing instability that can lead to pain or functional loss.

Answers to Back Pain

Minor back pain can be common as we age, however it can also quickly lead to injuries or larger issues if not properly diagnosed. VMA reveals abnormal movement patterns that static images overlook, providing objective data early in evaluation and documentation. Motion matters because most spine injuries reveal themselves only when the vertebrae move. A motion study shows how each segment behaves under real forces, giving you a clearer picture of the true problem and a faster path to the right treatment.

Vertebral Motion Analysis (VMA®)

Vertebral Motion Analysis (VMA®)

VMA is an FDA-cleared motion-based spine diagnostic that shows how the spine behaves in real time. Instead of taking still pictures like standard X-rays or MRIs, VMA captures continuous imaging as the patient gently bends forward, backward, and side to side.

Using a surgical-grade C-arm and proprietary software, VMA measures the movement of each vertebra with sub-millimeter accuracy. This reveals spinal ligament injuries and mechanical instability that are invisible on imaging at rest.

VMA replaces guesswork with objective, quantifiable data that provides clinical insights into the patient’s spine’s overall health.

A Smarter Approach to Spine Longevity

Our collaboration with TruePath Imaging brings together the technological advancement of VMA with the expertise of our board-certified sports medicine physician to understand the overall health of your spine, but also provide wellness treatment recommendations to proactively prevent future spine issues.

What to Expect

Your spine health assessment will help you understand the health of your spine and be proactive in spine longevity. Here’s what the journey looks like:

1

VMA Imaging Scan

For cervical studies, the patient is seated. For lumbar studies, the patient stands. In both cases, the patient performs gentle, controlled bending. Movements are standardized and supported to ensure consistency and safety. A surgical C-arm captures continuous images at eight frames per second throughout each motion cycle.

The scan is performed by TruePath Imaging.

2

Physician Assessment

A board-certified radiologist will review the VMA results to assess your spine’s overall health, including any issues.

3

Proactive Treatment Plan

Your physician will meet with you to review your results. Whether you are staying ahead of future issues or dealing with current pain or injury, you will receive recommendations focused on improving stability, reducing symptoms, and supporting long-term spine health.
